Spring Cleaning

Updated: Dec 15, 2019

Spring brings visions of flowers, green grass, the sound of robins, sunshine and enjoying the great

outdoors. It also means spring cleaning, deep cleaning parts of your house that you don’t do on a routine basis. Anybody love washing windows?

When was the last time you did some spring cleaning of your business?

Not physically, but rather evaluating how your business runs. Are there areas to improve? No time better than now to do something about it!

3 areas to “clean”:

Look at your processes, are they efficient?

There are often simple ways to make noticeable improvements to every process. You may want a neutral party’s opinion. Sometimes when you’re in it day in day out, you don’t see the benefits of what small changes to make. Think baseball - BATTER UP! Do you have a plan in place if something were to happen to you? It’s never too early to start succession planning. We all believe we have plenty of time, but that is often not the case. Do a people inventory. Look at the roles in your company. Are they filled well? Do roles/descriptions need updating? Do you have the right people in the right seats on your bus? Maybe Tom’s strengths are really needed more over here and Beth could really bring a fresh perspective and much-needed energy in that department.

Ask you people what is working and what isn’t and LISTEN TO THEM!

Lastly, Winter is tough in this part of the country. Do some celebrating that you all survived Old Man Winter!

Did you know that 50% of the knowledge you need to run your business in 5 years doesn't exist today?

Keep yourself up to date. There’s so much more to know and there’s so much we will share with you.
